Tubastraea faulkneri (Yellow)

Tubastraea faulkneri (Yellow), commonly known as a Yellow Sun Coral, is a striking non-photosynthetic LPS coral prized for its bright yellow polyps and contrasting skeletal structure. Its fleshy polyps extend fully during feeding, creating a vibrant, eye-catching display. Unlike photosynthetic corals, it does not rely on light for nutrition and requires regular feeding to maintain its color and growth.

Care in Aquariums:
• Lighting: Low; lighting is not required for nutrition
• Flow: Moderate to strong, indirect
• Placement: Shaded or lower areas with good water movement; allow room for colony growth
• Feeding: Requires regular feeding with meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, zooplankton, or finely chopped seafood
