Lobophyllia spp. (Orange-Red)

Lobophyllia, commonly known as the Lobo Coral or Open Brain Coral, is a large-polyp stony (LPS) coral prized for its fleshy polyps, bold ridges, and vibrant coloration. Colonies form thick, lobed skeletons covered in expanded tissue that can display shades of red, green, orange, purple, and pink, often with contrasting centers and fluorescent highlights. Its slow, flowing movement and striking appearance make it a popular centerpiece in reef aquariums.

• Placement: Sandbed or lower rockwork; allow space from neighboring corals
